What you learn: This course is designed for, mechanical engineers, detailers, and others involved in industry looking for an overview of designing 3D solid models, and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor software.
Prerequisite: Familiar with Windows and MS Office, and computer-aided design and drafting with AutoCAD, or another, similar 2D CAD software program.
Course Description: The course will utilize lectures, hands-on demonstrations and lab exercises to familiarize participants with the basic Inventor commands and menu systems. The course covers fundamental concepts, commands and techniques for creating and documenting designs using Autodesk Inventor. You will learn to create 3D parametric parts, assemble them, and generate working drawings.
This is an introductory level course for professional designers, engineers and others seeking job transition and professional advancement through acquiring 3D computer design skills. By the conclusion of this class, participants will be able to apply Inventor 2011 to design 3D projects and will be qualified to enroll in the Inventor II class.
